1/3/22 The Power of Fear

 The Power of Fear

"We had an agreement!" Gosbit yelled at the man in the maroon long coat, with a Fedora of matching color, "I make a delivery for you, no questions asked, and then you give me the file!"

The maroon coated man stops his pace and turns around, revealing a small revolver in his hand, "Well Gosbit, it looks like plans changed now haven't they?" He says, carelessly pointing the gun at Gosbit.

In shock Gosbit freezes, fear streaming through body. His eyes roll back in his head as an unearthly force takes control.

The man in the maroon coat stands still, unsure of how to react. Suddenly he feels a weird tingling under his feet. The tiny bits of gravel begin to shake, sliding out from under his feet. He struggles to stay balanced and falls flat on his back.

Gosbit, with eyes glazed over with a sickly gray, walks over to the maroon man and leans down. Searching through the man's coat he finds the file in a little orange packet.

The maroon man lays silently on his back, praying this man or monster or whatever he is, doesn't harm him. Gosbit grabs the file and walks away into the foggy night. The maroon coated man stands up, dusts himself off, and walks away in the opposite direction, deciding to forget this ever happened.
