  Violet Skies

Over great mountains a vibrant violet sky shimmers. Rock and snow now reflecting a soft purple light. Critters run to their shelters as night approaches. Twinkling stars appear here and there shining their light across darkening skies.

People of mountain villages stand outside their quaint homes in admiration for their sky above. This happens every sundown for them but they enjoy it just as much night after night. It is such an unusual color for sky, who wouldn’t want to take it in as much as they possibly can?

Pleasant purple hues turn to black, as light leaves and night darkens. People return to their homes ready for sleep, eager to see this nightly event once again come sundown tomorrow. Living simply on mountaintops gives one a better appreciation for little things in life. An odd color up above can be an amazing feat night after night, if one sees it as special every time.

Repetition does not dismiss wonder and amazement. A person may know exactly what will happen and see it everyday, but that spark of curiosity can always remain. Finding that one thing can be hard but once it is found, it can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
