Mirror
When I look in the mirror I wonder about the person looking back at me. Is this my clone from another dimension? Do we live the same lives or are they different? Do our universes work together to draw us to the mirrors at the exact same time and make us do the exact same things? It’s easy to think that our mirror clones live the exact same life as us but in a mirrored world, but the possibilities are endless!
Maybe my mirror clone is a completely different person than me when away from the mirror. Maybe we only act the same when we are connected through this reflective plane. Maybe my clone has a completely different job; a completely different lifestyle.
Does my clone think the same about me? To them, am I the clone in the mirror? Maybe my clone is forced to do whatever I do. Do they enjoy it? Do they like what I wear, or how I style my hair? I wonder if my clone wishes they could break free from me and live their own life.
Is my clone only there when I am looking in a mirror? Does their world disappear when I can no longer see a mirror? Does their world change depending on where I am? If I am looking down at a mirror are they looking up at one?
What about if I am looking in a mirror with another person, or multiple people; are their clones looking back at us? Also drawn by some force of the universe? In their dimension are we even friends, Or did random circumstances bring us to the mirror at the same time?
Maybe when we look in a mirror we are truly just seeing our own reflection, not some being from another dimension. So do these questions mean I doubt my own validity as a person? When I look at myself I wonder if it's even really me looking back because how else would I know what I look like, if not for a mirror?
The End
