3/2/22 That Cool Crisp Air
That Cool Crisp Air
She stands outside, the cool air blowing lightly. It hits her skin, causing chills to run all throughout her body.
The air is cold, but comfortable. The kind of cold that makes you stand still and just enjoy the breeze. The kind of cold that makes you look to the sky and wish you were soaring above the clouds.
Deeply breathing in, she shuts her eyes, just enjoying the peacefulness of nature. It is so calm and so quiet, just her and the wind. She walks forward, exploring the sky with her eyes as she goes. Without a cloud in sight, all shes is the beautiful baby blue of the late day sky.
Although the cold began to take effect on her, she didn’t want to go inside. This feeling was so rare, she was scared she would never feel it again, that if she went inside it would be lost forever. But the shivers grew stronger.
Listening to the signals of her freezing body, she reluctantly walked back to her door. With her hand on the knob she turns to take one last look. Again she inhales the crisp air then turns her head away, entering the warmth of her home, leaving behind that cool crisp air.
The End
