3/6/22 Falling Stars

 Falling Stars

Eloquently shimmering stars fall from the dark night sky. Darker and darker it grows. The stars are falling faster than anything has fallen before. Panic spreads quickly as giant orbs of light and fire nearly miss the earth. Bright flashes become more frequent as the stars accelerate.

*BOOM* The first star collides with the earth. The collision can be seen from millions of miles away. Mass destruction lies in the stars' wake, a chunk obliterated from the earth, rapid fires spreading. Nothing can be done, this is it, no amount of work is fast enough to save this.

Another dozen stars pass by. *BOOM* the second star hits the side opposite. With the oceans insane and the fires wild, people begin to pray as they witness the last days of their beautiful blue rock in the sky. They hold their loved ones close as the earth is torn apart.

The outer shell cracks and fiery lava spews from the core, covering the remaining land. Nothing is left. The sky is black and the earth is gone, lessened to mere rocks in the vastness of space. No life is left, it is gone, completely destroyed, with no hope of returning.

The stars have fallen, and brought life itself down with them.
