 Photo Emotions

Looking at the photo brought him to another time. He could picture the exact moment it was taken. He could feel the sensations of the place, hear the sounds. It was like he was there all over again. 

He could feel the overall sensation of just being in that moment. It is impossible to describe, a feeling with no name, but it was a good feeling, it was closely related to happiness but not the same.

It’s like waking up from a dream and not remembering all of it but still being able to feel the vibe of the dream. It is unexplainable to anyone else and only you can feel it. Those were the emotions he felt looking at this picture.

It brought back so many happy memories related to the photo. All he could do in that moment was stand there, reliving the good times, laughing at the funny moments, and reflecting on the not so great ones.

As he walked away he lightly laughed to himself thinking how crazy it was, how just one photo could bring back a whole array of feelings, emotions, and memories. These things he hadn’t thought about for years, all coming back to him just from a glance at a photo. 

He began to think of photographs as little time capsules, able to hold so much more than just physical objects.

There was no piano, just his stride, creating a beautiful melody for all to hear. He didn’t know why the music played, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.   The Girl in the Horse Painting “Oh man have you seen that one painting, the one with the horse, on that blue background.” “Yeah! Oh my gosh that painting is so good. I’m actually looking to get a print of it to hang in my house.” “That would look so good in your living room, or anywhere really.” “I know, it’s such a good painting it could go anywhere really and make the room better!” “Have you ever noticed the girl in the background? 4/24/22 Carried by the Breeze

  Carried by the Breeze She stood in the breeze, arms stretched out wide. “Take me away,” she said, and the wind complied with her request. It picked her up off the earth and carried her through the sky and clouds.  Although a wondrous view passed by below her, she just closed her eyes and floated with the wind. The sight could be replicated but this feeling would never be again. She did nothing but float, feeling the breeze run through her hair, trying to capture it in her hands. Hours went by and she enjoyed every moment, but the chill of the sky began to wear into her, she was ready to go down. The wind however had different plans, it was not ready to let her go.
