5/31/22 Halfway

 Halfway

She had started, so confident, so prepared, so ready. This race would be long but she knew she could do it. With discipline, she knew she would achieve her goal.

After a long stretch she had now made it halfway. There were definitely some ups and downs but here she was, low on energy but still running. 

She knew she could just stop at any time but this meant too much to her. If she was going to quit she would have done it way before the halfway mark. At this point, she had to finish it, run the whole way. She knew what she was in for as she had just done it, now she just needed to do the same thing again.

The race is long but she keeps on going, confident she can make it to the end. Once she completes the race, she never has to run it again. Although hard, she knows she will come out of this race stronger than she was before.

  Musical Footsteps One day as he walked, a musical note began to play. With each step a new note, always complimenting the one before. There was no piano, just his stride, creating a beautiful melody for all to hear. He didn’t know why the music played, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.   The Girl in the Horse Painting “Oh man have you seen that one painting, the one with the horse, on that blue background.” “Yeah! Oh my gosh that painting is so good. I’m actually looking to get a print of it to hang in my house.” “That would look so good in your living room, or anywhere really.” “I know, it’s such a good painting it could go anywhere really and make the room better!” “Have you ever noticed the girl in the background? I never had until someone pointed it out to me and then I couldn’t stop looking at her.” “There is a girl in the background?” “I know right. I was shocked too, but yeah, there is. 4/24/22 Carried by the Breeze

  Carried by the Breeze She stood in the breeze, arms stretched out wide. “Take me away,” she said, and the wind complied with her request. It picked her up off the earth and carried her through the sky and clouds.  Although a wondrous view passed by below her, she just closed her eyes and floated with the wind. The sight could be replicated but this feeling would never be again. She did nothing but float, feeling the breeze run through her hair, trying to capture it in her hands. Hours went by and she enjoyed every moment, but the chill of the sky began to wear into her, she was ready to go down. The wind however had different plans, it was not ready to let her go.
