The Dice Story (Part 1)
“Come on hurry up. We are going to be late!” Hannah yelled.
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Sasha responded, running down the hall with her suitcase in tow.
The two girls hurried out to their car, Hannah taking the driver's seat and Sasha sitting on the passenger side. After a few hours of driving, just before they got to the airport, traffic stopped. It was backed up for what looked like forever. They sat in the traffic, hoping it would clear up, but the yelling coming from multiple cars told them a different story. People began getting out of their cars, asking the other confused drivers around them what was going on.
“I’m going to get out and see what’s going on, see if anyone else knows what’s up,” Sasha said as she undid her buckle and hopped out of the car.
“Be safe,” Hannah yelled just before the car door shut.
Sasha walked a little ways down and looked to the nearest person she saw. “Hey, do you know what’s causing the backup?” she asked.
The man responded, “I’m not exactly sure, but I’m hearing something about a turtle?” he said, very unsure of the reliability of the information he had been given.
Sasha continued walking down the highway to the airport exit. Up ahead she could see clear road with no traffic in sight. When she walked to the front, there it was, a large turtle just chilling in the middle of the road. Some people were trying to move it, but it was too heavy and did not want to budge.
From the front of the line Sasha could hear the yelling of angry drivers. She quickly pulled out her phone and took a picture of the turtle to show to Hannah. On her walk back, she passed along the message that there was a turtle in the middle of the road. She made it back to Hannah’s dark blue car and got back in.
“So, did you find out why we stopped?” Hannah asked her friend.
“Yeah look,” Sasha pulled out her phone, “There is a giant turtle just off the exit, blocking the road, and no one can get it to move.”
“Oh woah!” Hannah said examining the photo, “Do you know if animal control or something is coming to move it?”
“I have no idea.”
“I hope they are, or else we are going to miss our flight,” Hannah said nervously.

(Author's Note: The reason this is called “The Dice Story” is because me and my friend got a pack of dice that you roll and make a story out of the pictures you see. This is the story that ensued.)
