 The Dice Story (Part 3)

Sitting in the cramped seats of the airplane, the girls anxiously awaited for the flight to be over. Hawaii was calling them and they just wanted to be there. Their excitement grew when the pilot's voice came over the speakers, “Everyone please fasten your seatbelts and prepare for landing.”

Giant smiles grew on the girls' faces as they contained their squeals of excitement. The plane landed and the girls waited in the long line of passengers, all just as eager to depart the plane. At a slow but steady pace, the girls made it off the plane and made their way through the airport to collect their bags.

After retrieving their luggage, Hannah and Sasha made their way out of the airport and waited for the bus to take them to their resort.

“Is that it?” Sasha asked for about the hundredth time.

“No Sasha, I have told you what it looks like a million times, and that isn’t it. I will let you know when it gets here,” Hannah responds, slightly annoyed by her friend.

“OOOOH THERE IT IS!” Sasha shouts, collecting the attention of the small crowd of people around them.

“Yes Sasha, that is our bus,” Hannah says, holding her head down low.

They board the bus and after a short ride they arrive at their tropical resort. Everything looks perfect. The girls check in then excitedly head to their room. They change into their swimsuits and head straight for the beach.

“Oh wow it’s so pretty,” Sasha says, looking at the beautiful Hawaiian scenery.

“I know, it’s great. Let's set our towels down right over there,” Hannah points to an open patch of beach.

The two girls lay their colorful towels down on the warm sand then lay on top of them. They look out at the ocean, and around at the plants and swaying palm trees.

“I think I could stay here forever,” Sasha says.

“Me too,” Hannah says, leaning her head back and shutting her eyes.

The girls relaxation is cut short by a strange shift in the breeze followed by a loud thundering sound in the distance.

“Um Hannah? What is that?”

Hannah’s eyes go wide, “I don’t know Sasha.”
