8/7/22 The Queen with the Golden Claws
The Queen with the Golden Claws
The queen sits sideways in her throne, legs throne up one on top of the other, resting on the armrest. Her golden crown sits atop her head and a velvet teal cloak flows down her back, coming off the throne and almost touching the floor.
These however were not her most prominent accessory. No, she was known as the queen with the golden claws. On each finger were two inch long hollow nails made of pure gold. The nails were sharp, coming to a fine tip at the ends and the gold was ornately patterned with holes and gaps.
Sliding on and off her fingers, the queen could remove them whenever she pleased, but tended to leave them on as much as possible. With an already strong self confidence and intimidating aura, the nails just added to her majesty.
She was not a cruel queen, but her subjects still grew scared in her presence. As they would walk into the throne room they would often find her admiring her claws, playing with them in an almost seductive way. She could make even the strongest man sweat.
The unique accessory became a necessity for her. As a single queen, she needed a show of power. She had the claws custom made, to physically show the powerful personality she had inside.
She did not often use the claws to actually cut people, but knowing how easy it would be for her to do so made everyone nervous in her presence. How she would so carelessly move them around, gently stroking her face as not to cut herself. She was powerful without her nails, but the golden claws ensured that the world would know, even without a king, she was still very fit to rule.
