Cascada (Part 1)
“Where am I?” Cascada asks aloud, “And what is this horrid plant?” she says with disgust, grabbing the tip of the wheat and crunching it in her hands. As she walks through the massive wheat field, the stems brush against her golden skin tight clothes, with her gold laced cape dragging on the tops of the wheat.
She walks towards the nearest structure she can find, an old run down barn. The dark red paint is wearing off revealing the wood beneath, the metal roof looking like it could cave in at any moment.
As she approaches the barn, Cascada hears a noise coming from inside. The door slides open and an old man walks out and spots her immediately, her fiery red hair hard to miss amongst the dull wheat.
“Excuse me miss but just what do you think you’re doing walking through my crop?” he asks, annoyed simply by her presence.
“I have no idea how I got in your crop,” she bluntly states, “One moment I’m on my homeworld of Hyja and the next I am here surrounded by this crumply plant.”
The farmer seems a bit confused but his annoyance overturns it completely, “Well I don’t give a hens feather about this Hyja place and I don’t much care for your attitude, so I suggest you get out of my wheat field before you destroy anymore of it.”
“Gladly,” she says, equally annoyed with the farmer. Cascada turns around but all she sees is more wheat. She rolls her eyes and turns back to the farmer, “How might I get off your land without trampling more of your crop?”
“See that path,” the farmer points to a dirt road through the field, “That’ll take you straight to the road and off my property.”
“Thank you,” she says through gritted teeth. The farmer just snarls and walks back to the barn. She turns to the path and begins to follow it. ‘What frustrating little inhabitants this planet has,’ she thinks to herself on her long stroll down the dirt path.
