 Cascada (Part 2)

The old farmer watched Cascada as she walked down the dirt road. ‘One moment I’m on my homeworld of Hyja and the ne..’ her voice trails off in his head. “Homeworld?” he softly whispers to himself. His eyes go wide, “She’s an alien.” He runs into the barn to grab his shotgun that is stowed away next to the main door. He runs towards the path a bit, completely unnoticed by Cascada. Holding the gun to his shoulder, he aims it directly at her back. *BANG* the gun fires and hits its target but the bullet bounces off her cape like it was nothing.

“What the…”

Cascada turns around, “What was that for! I’m leaving like you asked me to!”

“We don’t want no aliens running around our planet!” the farmer screams as he charges towards her. Cascada runs down the dirt path towards the road, not wanting to hurt the old man. Just as she makes it to the paved road she quickly comes to a halt as a car whizzes by. She is startled by the sudden appearance of the car and stops to catch her breath realizing that that thing could have killed her had she not stopped.

Cascada’s moment of hesitation gives the spry old man enough time to catch up and tackle her to the ground. He puts his hand around her throat. “Please stop,” she gasps, “No matter how annoying you are I don’t wish to hurt you.”

“Yeahhh, sure you don’t.”

With the breath she has left, Cascada releases an annoyed sigh then easily pushes the farmer off of her. He charges at her again but this time she raises her leg and kicks the old man in the gut.

He falls to the ground, “Help! Help! She’s attacking me!” he screams as he wiggles around on the ground.

Cascada squints her eyes, “You are the one who attacked me!” The whole scene manages to attract a cop car passing by. It pulls over and two cops hop out and run over to Cascada and the man.

“Is there a problem here?” one of the cops ask.

The farmer clenches his stomach in pain, “This crazy woman snuck onto my property and then attacked me!”

Both cops snap their attention to Cascada, “No It’s not true, I was leaving and he attacked me. I was just trying to defend myself!”

“And just how did you end up on this man’s property?” the other cop asks.

“I…I don’t know,” Cascada replies in defeat.

“A likely story,” the farmer spits at Cascada’s feet, “She’s a murdered she is, snuck on my land and tried to take me out in my own barn! I tried to run but she caught up with me, thank goodness y’all got here before she could finish the job.”

“HE’S LYING!” Cascada yells. The cops however believe the old man and quickly move to arrest Cascada.”Look, I don’t want to hurt you, please just let me go.” The cops continue moving in on Cascada, guns out and pointed directly at her. Frustrated Cascada warns, “Alright, I guess I will have to hurt you then.” She raises her leg and with one sweep kicks both the cops in the head. They fall to the ground as she runs away, not knowing where to go, just following the road until she finds something.
