 Blanket Fort

When the power is out and the night is cold, and the fear of the dark sets in; what better way to spend your night, then in a blanket fort with a friend?

What a childlike sensation that comes from sleeping in a blanket fort. With the hard floor beneath you and a sky of blankets, it is so cozy and nice. The warmth that comes from the plethora of blankets cannot be beat on a cold night.

 It is like camping in a tent, but a tent you have made yourself. Instead of the cold plastic, meant to protect from wind and rain, it is instead made from the coziest of blankets found around the house.

Although the older our bodies get, the childlike spirit survives. The floor may hurt more, but the experience of sleeping in a blanket fort is worth it every time.

  The Girl in the Horse Painting “Oh man have you seen that one painting, the one with the horse, on that blue background.” “Yeah! Oh my gosh that painting is so good. I’m actually looking to get a print of it to hang in my house.” “That would look so good in your living room, or anywhere really.” “I know, it’s such a good painting it could go anywhere really and make the room better!” “Have you ever noticed the girl in the background? I never had until someone pointed it out to me and then I couldn’t stop looking at her.” “There is a girl in the background?” “I know right. I was shocked too, but yeah, there is. 4/24/22 Carried by the Breeze

  Carried by the Breeze She stood in the breeze, arms stretched out wide. “Take me away,” she said, and the wind complied with her request. It picked her up off the earth and carried her through the sky and clouds.  Although a wondrous view passed by below her, she just closed her eyes and floated with the wind. The sight could be replicated but this feeling would never be again. She did nothing but float, feeling the breeze run through her hair, trying to capture it in her hands. Hours went by and she enjoyed every moment, but the chill of the sky began to wear into her, she was ready to go down. The wind however had different plans, it was not ready to let her go.
