“How loud do I have to shout at you before you listen?”

“I am listening! I’ve listened every time.”

“Yes but you never do anything about it.”

“Yes I do!”

“...”

“For like a few months…”

“...”

“Before falling right back to where I was before.”

“Exactly, therefore, you did not listen. If you had truly listened, you would not fall so often.”

“I know, I know I need to change but I don’t want to.”

“Would you risk everything based on something you just want? Not even something you need. Is it really worth it?”

“No.”

“That’s right. I have shown you time and time again that you can just let it go, you don’t need it. Come to me and I will help you.”

“But…”

“But what? What argument can you possibly give?”

“None.”

“Alright. Now come, let’s walk this road together and I will help you not to stumble.”

  Inhabitants of the Forest The giant moose watched with its tiny human in the luscious green forest as the moon crumbled. A hand reached out in the sky and had taken hold of the moon. Harshly it squeezed, crushing the moon into tiny pieces.  The moose and the man did not move, they simply stood, staring at the whimsical sight in front of them. 11/22/22 Mykala

  Mykala “Mykala! Bring me a glass of water. I am thirsty,” her father shouts. After impatiently waiting for a few moments, no water is brought. “Mykala!” He receives no response. Begrudgingly he gets up and gets himself a glass of water. “Mykala! What are you doing? The pigs need fed!” She does not respond. “Mykala stop daydreaming and go feed our animals, that is your job!” After seeing no movement, he goes to grab the various scraps to throw in the pigs trough. “Must I do everything myself?” “Mykala! Light the candles, it is getting dark in this house.” The candles remain dark. “Do you want us tripping over everything we own girl? Why will you not listen to me?” he shouts. As he is lighting the candles his wife walks in the door. “Hello love, how was your day,” she asks in a comforting tone, rubbing her husband's back as he lights the last candle in the house. He says nothing, and only stares past the candle. The little flame illuminates a small portrait of a young girl....

                                                                   Breaking the Cage (Part 5)     The morning sun rises and Hilton is quick out of bed, his tools already packed nicely in a bag in the car.
