 Cloudwalkers

Walking along the road, staring into the sky, a large puffy white cloud glimmers in the shining sun. How peaceful it seemed, just floating along with the breeze. With its enormous size covering vast amounts of land, there must be something inside.

Hidden within the cloud was a peaceful city, home to cloudwalkers; beings made of the clouds themselves. The cloudwalkers spent most of their time hiding away in their floating city but would sometimes leave the comfort of enclosure to form wondrous shapes in the sky.

The cloudwalkers loved to look down at the tiny people below who would look up and try to discern what they looked like. As people would lie on the ground and watch the clouds, the cloudwalkers, floating through the sky, would find the same enjoyment watching the people below.

The shape the cloudwalkers take is purely up to them. They can decide to have sharp edges and specific shapes, or they can just mellow out, with soft edges and no particular shape. Holding a sharp edge takes much strength for the cloudwalkers. They cannot always hold it for long and tend to dissipate back to their cloud city after a while. Some cloudwalkers simply don’t want to put the effort into holding a tight shape and simply relax outside the city in a light fluffy shape.

No shape is considered good or bad by any cloudwalker. The shape they make is up to them, some like tighter forms and others prefer to stay loose. The cloudwalkers never mock or tease about another's choice, as they know that all shapes and sizes of clouds are appreciated by the people below.

In their short life, before being rained away, a cloudwalkers goal is to paint the sky; to make someone look up and admire the cloud above them. They strive to bring that happiness during their short life. Even if they don’t succeed they know a new cloud city will come after them, full of cloudwalkers pressing towards the same goal.
