Forgotten Memories (Part 10)
After a short drive, Sarah arrives at Club Echo. As it is only noon, the club is closed. Curious if anyone is inside, Sarah goes and knocks on the door, but receives no response. She knocks again just to make sure. This time an annoyed looking man opens the door.
The man momentarily looks Sarah up and down, “Excuse me lady but this is a nightclub, not a dayclub,” he says rudely.
“I know and I’m sorry to bother you, I’m looking for someone, who has been to your club,” Sarah pleads.
“And who are you, a cop or something?”
“No, I just have a friend who is really messed up now because of someone he met here.”
“Look I’m sorry about your friend but this ain’t my problem,” the man says, trying to shut the door in Sarah’s face.
Sarah quickly grabs the door, preventing him from shutting it, “Her name is Raina, she has dark skin and curly black hair. The night my friend met her she was wearing black. Does she sound familiar?”
The man laughs, “Hah, Raina, weird one she is, in here almost every night but doesn't seem to interact with anyone. Makes me wonder why she even comes here. Now will you get out of here? I have important work to get done.”
Sarah releases her grip on the door, “Yes, thank you sir.”
Before the man shuts the door he turns to Sarah, “I assume I’ll be seeing you here later tonight?”
“Yes,” Sarah says as she turns to leave.
“We open at ten,” the man calls out before shutting the door.
