7/7/22 Goodmorning Moon

 Goodmorning Moon

I walked out early in the morning, fresh cool air, a light blue sky, the moon nicely adorning the blank canvas with its perfect crescent shape. A perfect time to be awake, the warmth of the sun just coming in, the birds singing their morning songs, and the tiredness slowly draining from my eyes as my mind wakes up to this glorious view.

It was still strange to me, the moon being out so early in the day, but that’s just how it is now. The moon never goes away anymore, it always just sits in the sky, brighter at night of course, but still there in the daytime. No one can explain why it is always there, it just…is.

With so many people finding beauty in the moon, having it be there at all times has not been a bad thing. People get to admire her beauty all day long, not having to wait for the darkness of night to be able to witness her form. Although the moon doesn’t shine in the day as it does in the night, people still find themselves gazing at it for hours.

I guess the moon just has that pull on people. The giant rock that seems so close. The planet-like mass that amazes us still. The one place men have actually stepped foot on, and where others dream of walking. No, having the moon has not caused any distress at all, only given people a longer amount of time to enjoy it.
