Tearfall (Part 1)
“WHAT IS GOING ON?!”
“Argh don’t look at me you’re getting me all wet,” he said, trying to block the water with his arms.
“But why is it happening!?” she questioned in a panic.
“I ALREADY TOLD YOU I DON’T KNOW!”
“Will you drive me to the hospital then? And we can get someone to figure out what’s actually going on,” she said, annoyed with her boyfriend's reaction to her new situation.
“Are you kidding? You’ll flood the car!”
“FINE! Call 911 then!”
He rushed around looking for his phone to dial 911. “Hello? Yes um, my girlfriend's eyes won’t stop watering…no she’s not just crying, there is a lot of water coming out… no no no, not just like an allergic reaction, there is A LOT of water…” he looked at his girlfriend and whispered, “They will send an ambulance immediately.”
She listened as her boyfriend gave the address then waited, her tears soaking the carpet below her. She went to find some towels although she knew it would not provide much relief to the floor.
After the two gathered a mountain of towels, the ambulance arrived with sirens blaring. Her boyfriend went to the door and let the paramedics in. The look of shock on the medics face as they saw her, a waterfall of tears gushing from both eyes nonstop.
“Oh my-” one stopped himself.
“Can you make it stop?” she asked.
“Ma’am, I have no idea, let’s get you in the ambulance and get to the hospital because I can tell you right now, I am not qualified to treat this, let alone diagnose it.” The woman was happy with their honesty and followed them to the ambulance, bringing with her as many towels as she could.
